13th March : Chitted potatoes planted : appeared 7th April : earthed May 1st Caught by late frost, minor damage, then earthed up. 13th March : Onion sets planted under mesh cloche : sprouting 2nd April 13th March : Broad beans sown planted under mesh cloche : germinated 2nd April : harvested June to July First Celeriac plants eaten by slugs. Excess cabbage & sprouts planted under netting only, damaged by pests. Removed netting from Broad beans & onions 11th May. Kohl rabi harvested, not as good as garden. June 16th : Removed netting from sprouts, Broad bean pods developing well, slug damaged slowing. June harvest : Early potatoes, red onions, broad beans, cabbage, caulis. July : Sweet corn flowering. Planted out plug beetroots July 9th : Planted out plug plant caulis. Swede seeds & kohl rabi seeds sown in greenhouse. July 11th : planted runner beans, peas sown in pots. Nemotode treatment. Potatoes lifted. July 18th : first French beans Aug 3rd : first corn cob
